November 20, 2015 – Outgoing Mid-Mo RPC Chairman Dan Atwill and Brian Crane, City Administrator of Holts Summit were among several individuals recognized for their contributions to Mid-MO RPC and their local government at the Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission’s annual meeting on November 18th. The event was held at the Senior Center in Ashland. Approximately 50 people representing local governments in the Mid-MO RPC region, as well as, staff representatives for Senator Claire McCaskill, Senator Matt Blunt, Congresswoman Vicki Hartzler and the Missouri Department of Transportation were in attendance.
Highlights of the meeting included Mid-MO RPC staff’s presentation of the “Annual Report” of staff activities for the FY15 fiscal past year, a roundtable discussion regarding future RPC meetings and work activities, and comments from outgoing Mid-MO RPC Chair Dan Atwill.

Each year at the annual meeting, the Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission honors individuals for their outstanding commitment in promoting community and economic development for the region and their city and/or county. This year the following individuals were honored:
Mid-MO staff reviewed the accomplishments of the work program for the past year. Staff emphasized the relationship between the work program and goals established by the Mid-MO RPC Board of Directors. Executive Director Ed Siegmund pointed out that the RPC activities generated over $3.6 million in grant dollars to member communities and the RPC during the past fiscal year.
Mid-MO RPC formed in 1999, is a voluntary regional organization of the six counties and 38 cities in the Mid-Missouri region offering a variety of programming and services, both on the municipal and regional level, to our member counties. The RPC serve the counties of Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, and Moniteau and their respective cities. A professional staff, directed by the Mid-MO RPC Board, offers technical assistance and services in the areas of community and economic development, transportation planning, environmental planning, homeland security administrative services to the Area F RHSOC, mapping assistance, and other services to member communities may be requested.
