Members of the Board of Directors reviewing RPC activities at the September 27 board meeting.
Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission’s Board of Directors held its quarterly meeting on Wednesday, September 27, at the RPC office located in Ashland. The meeting was lead by Kris Scheperle, Cole County Commissioner and Board Chairman. RPC Executive Director Ed Siegmund presented an update on the FY18 work program that staff is currently engaged in and the status of those activities. The project activities included: hazard mitigation plan updates for Moniteau, Howard and Callaway counties; the mobility management initiative; CDBG grant administration for the cities of Armstrong, Holts Summit, Russellville, Bunceton, and Boone County; and continued technical assistance on economic development and transportation planning. Siegmund also discussed the Missouri Innovation Center Expansion, Missouri River port study, 2020 Census Local Update of Census Addresses Operation (LUCA), and other developing project activities with the board members.
Other business undertaken by the Board included approval of the contract amendment with EDA for an additional $4,000 increase in grant funding and submission of the FY18 grant funding application to the Missouri Department of Administration for approximately $8,900. Other action items included approval to proceed with a contractgual agreement with Boone County to provide grant administrative services related to CDBG infrastructure improvements for the American Outdoor Brands distribution center and a contractual agreement with Kenneth Hale for the RPC FY2017 audit.
Board members also discussed community activities currently underway within the respective local government.
